Justin Hoyer Biography

Justin Hoyer, born and raised in Ellsworth, WI has been riding motorcycles ever since he can remember. Growing up in the racing scene Hoyer like many struggled to make ends meet. Hoyer made the switch to Freestyle four years ago and has never looked back. In 2003 Hoyer became the first ever cross over athlete riding both freestyle motocross and freestyle snocross. After just 3 months of riding Hoyer won his first ever freestyle snocross event. In 2004 Hoyer won the Red Bull fuel and fury championship in the streets of Milwaukee, WI. In 2005 Hoyer flipped his snowmobile over the Red square in Moscow, Russia winning the Red Bull revolution on machines Championship. Hoyer is also the first person to ever perform back flips on a motorcycle and a snowmobile regularly.

In January 2007 Hoyer was the favorite for gold in the first ever freestyle snocross competition in the Winter X Games. Mechanical problems forced him to suffer a torn ACL in the left knee and be forced out of the competition. In April 2007 Hoyer was training for the Crusty demons of dirt tour in Australia and suffered yet another devastating injury that would sideline him for the next 6 months. A broken tibia and fibia in the right leg, broken Navicular in the left foot and a torn ACL in the right knee.

Hoyer, with a positive attitude took his down time and turned it in to an opportunity to reevaluate his career and become more focused than ever. Combined with some of the best doctors in the U.S. and a personal trainer Hoyer has now made a full recovery, and is now more driven than ever to get back out and win!

Justin came out in the January 2009 Winter X-Games and led the pack. He was a quiet professional leading up to the games. The media pegged him for a close competitor and one to look out for. Justin proved he belonged on top when he came out in the Freestyle qualifying, leading the entire back in the #1 spot to the finals. With a rating of 1.2 on ESPN for the Snowmobile Freestyle finale, Justin Hoyer was out front and went into the Gold / Silver round. Going through the best run of his life, Justin came off of one jump a bit off and he landed just outside the landing area by only a fraction of a left front ski on his snowmobile. That slight deviation on his run cost him Gold but Justin scored a Silver and he was excited. Rockstar Energy was promoted in the most professional manner possible at X-Games and everyone was proud of Justin's performance.

At the 2010 Winter X-Games held in Aspen, Colorado, Justin convincingly won the Snowmobile Freestyle finals! Justin would like to thank everyone for their support along the way. For those that are interested in being a part of history with Justin Hoyer in 2011, please contact us.
